About Us

ISUrF-Hub is driven by its vision to shape positive and livable cities by focussing on innovative solutions and strategies for sustainable development at the interface of urban design and manufacturing.

Research Network

ISUrF-Hub is planned as an international project center in Singapore for research in the Asian region within the framework of TU Braunschweig’s research line FUTURE CITY. We create and shape a network for the active exchange of science, industry and politics.

It builds upon a longtime collaboration between the Institute of Machine Tools and Production Technology (IWF) at TU Braunschweig and the Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech). A milestone has been reached in October 2017 with the opening of the Model Factory@SIMTech and the twinning with its sister facility “Die Lernfabrik” at TU Braunschweig. In 2017 the Institute for Sustainable Urbanism (ISU) at TU Braunschweig joined the Singapore – German activities.
